December 5, 2013. I manufactured the kickstand by forging a piece of 10mm round steel. I first heated the top of the bar again using the oxy acetylene burning torch and them beating the heated bar flat using the ball pein hammer against the anvil. After that I cut it to length and did the same on the other side. Then finally I drilled the hole and bend it to the correct angle. I them spayed the kick stand black and mounted it to the bike. December 5, 2013. To make the bike a really look like a Garda motor bike I have made stickers of the An Garda Siochana emblem and a “Garda Traffic Corps” sticker for the tank. As you could not just buy these stickers in a shop I had to make them by buying A4 pages of stickers printing the emblem onto it, covering them in a protective clear film (book cover) and them cutting them out. December 5, 2013. Throughout the whole manufacturing of the bike I was extremely conscious of the assembly process. Planning how everything would go together and constantly fitting them on. So as you can see I was extremely happy when it came to the assembly process and everything fit together perfectly. However the assembly process was not easy. You have to be very careful when assembling as everything has its sprayed finish and you do not want to dint anything or scratch your paint. Wiring up the lights.
