When i was assembling the bike i decided to make foot pegs, brass grips for the handlebars and to polish the lip on the wheels. I think these small items make a big difference to the bike. A topnotch WordPress.com site. December 5, 2013. For my front suspension i plan on using a shock from a 1/5th scale RC Car. Once i had these components i was able to start building the suspension. I welded the joints to tubes for the suspension. When welding this i was sure to tack the tube in 4 spots before welding so as the weld wouldn’t distort the joint. Using the standard suspension bushes i fitted the suspension to the frame. For this i cut plates from 6mm Plate. This entry was tagged Pivot point.

November 28, 2013. For this piece I simply got 50mm aluminium tubing and faced it off on the lathe. I followed this up by acquiring a brass bar the same diameter. Either end was machined down to the internal size of the aluminium tube. The Brass was hammered into the tube with a wooden mallet. In essence-an interference fit.
