What a Wonderful World. Friday, April 27, 2012. A Mouse Lived in a Windmill in old Amsterdam! Do you know the song about the mouse that lived in a windmill? I loved it as a child and can't help but think of it when I see tulips. Monday was a fabulous, sunny day, so we planned to end our work day a couple of hours earlier than usual, so that we could enjoy the Wooden-Shoe. Daddy and his girl! I love this tulip, everything about it is simply stunning. Me and my girl! On our way out, she stepped into the gi...

What a Wonderful World. Monday, August 27, 2012. Our pizza place just came up with a fantastic idea, a pizza kit you can buy for kids to build themselves. Amelia was very excited to get one. Everything you need comes inside the box, Amelia chose ham and cheese for her topping. Here's what you do:. First spread the tomato sauce on the pizza base, being careful not to go to the very outside of the pizza. Next sprinkle generous amounts of cheese over the sauce, using your fingers of course. Amelia was a lit...

Rawe Moments: June 2012

What a Wonderful World. Sunday, June 10, 2012. A Midsummer Night's Dream. You may remember my post back in February when I mentioned that Amelia had started participating in "Creative Movement" classes at the American Ballet Academy. Well, yesterday she performed as a fairy in the Academy's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". As you can see from the first photo, she was her usual self when I tried to take a photo, but I did manage to get a few snapshots. It doesn't get much cuter than this. As I w...

Rawe Moments: September 2012

What a Wonderful World. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. A Girl and Her Bear. On this particular afternoon, a couple of weeks ago, I was quietly watching Amelia as she snuggled up with Sweetie-Heart whilst watching a movie (a rare quiet moment in our household). My heart melted as I watched her hold her furry friend, even by the way she used him as a pillow. Of course it was a memory I wanted to capture in pictures. What a cute pair! 0 - Click here to leave a comment. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Rawe Moments: July 2011

What a Wonderful World. Saturday, July 30, 2011. A Summer Evening in the Park. We took Amelia's hula hoops, and some comfy chairs. Matthew had chance to relax a while before everybody came, then he became the BBQ King. There was a great play-set for the children to play on, right next to our sheltered picnic area. Of course, Amelia loved it and went straight to the slide. She of course copied the older children and grabbed the rail before throwing herself down. Amelia couldn't wait to see "Grandma" Jud...

What a Wonderful World. Sunday, December 25, 2011. We Wish You A Merry Christmas! It's hard to believe that Christmas is here already. After a long week of staying up way too late to finish traditions such as making gifts of candy for friends and neighbours, and running around during breaks and lunch hours at work to finish last minute Christmas shopping, I am grateful that the "work" associated with this wonderful season is done. With love from us to you,. 1 - Click here to leave a comment. To pick out ...

Rawe Moments: January 2013

What a Wonderful World. Sunday, January 20, 2013. A Trip to the Salon. I'm playing catch up on the blog and can't believe I am three months behind, better late than never I suppose. Last Fall I set up an appointment for Amelia to have her hair cut at Salon 554. She sat very still while Shelby trimmed her pretty golden locks and totally rocked the penguin cape she was given to wear. After the cut, Shelby had fun blow-drying her hair, Amelia giggled a lot. My girl was done! Side note: At 6:20 am, each week...

Rawe Moments: May 2012

What a Wonderful World. Sunday, May 27, 2012. My Girl and Me. This year as I celebrated mothers day, I felt so blessed. Not only did I think about the sacred calling and privilege it is to have my own amazing daughter, but I especially thought about my own mum. I thought about my Nana and grandmother, my mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and even friends, all wonderful strong women who have at some point in my life inspired me. So, as hard as it can be sometimes, how blessed I feel to be a mum! I was surpri...

What a Wonderful World. Sunday, November 18, 2012. A New Pre-school for Amelia. It was a pretty morning, so she posed for a few pictures out in the front garden. When we got to school, Amelia was excited to find that she and Abby shared a cubby in which to put her coat and bag, her name was on a green crayon label (she was excited that the label was green just like the color of daddy's Boston Celtics). Amelia's backpack is the pink, purple and turquoise one, second from the left. QUOTE OF THE MONTH.

What a Wonderful World. Friday, March 30, 2012. Peace, Quiet and Spirituality. We recently went to Texas to visit family. It was a much needed break and we loved seeing everybody. After our time in the Temple, I was happy that I was granted some time to take pictures, some of which I was actually in - amazing! What a great time we had.I love to see the Temple, especially with my husband and family by my side! 1 - Click here to leave a comment. Saturday, March 3, 2012. The waves were rather choppy. But as...
