Two Little Monkeys: There was a little girl, who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead

Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. There was a little girl, who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. Oh my sweet baby girl. Why do you have to be so much like your mama? You love to sing, tell stories, tell people who to be when you play - just like your mama. Your big brown eyes charm everyone you meet - just like your mama's. You like to get your way and make it known quickly (and loudly) when you don't - just like your mama. Oh, heaven help us all. This is good bye.

Two Little Monkeys: It's elementary, dear Watson.
http://twolittlekarstensmonkeys.blogspot.com/2011/09/its-elementary-dear-watson.html
Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. It's elementary, dear Watson. School that is. And they are there - Will bouncing along and Em twirling her beautiful skirt - rocking it like only a Karstens could. But, as a teacher mama who is now working as a special ed para in the mornings in the school they are in and who has a tendency to overreact just a bit where here babies are concerned, I had a harder time with the change. Absolutely not - just different. Did he need a plate? What is the deal? Of cou...

Two Little Monkeys: December 2011

Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. Last year we started a new tradition: The Great Cookie Frost. I baked a bunch of rolled out white sugar cookies and the Ganyos, Karstens, and Johnsons came to help frost and sprinkle. This year I had some amazing helpers with the rolling and cutting as well as the frosting. After rolling and cutting one set, Will moved on to the camera.). Yesterday was Christmas Eve. V and Jen ventured out in the 33 degree weather (HA! I thought of my Poppy and hoped our.

Two Little Monkeys: April 2010

Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. Emmy was trying to help me wash dishes and was getting water everywhere. I figured that washing her baby was a bit safer and more fun for her. We finally named the baby Baby Bella and she takes baths with Emmy every bath night. She especially likes it when she lays back in the tub and you let Baby Bella drain (aka pee) on her tummy. After Em finished licking off the cream she dunked the beater in her yogurt and licked that off, too. Swinging at Gram's house.

Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. Em loves to do whatever the grown ups do. We trimmed nails so she decided she needed to trim some, too. Nothing like an evening pedicure. She refused to "work on" my hands but kept alternating between my feet. She is so funny. Will found a more efficient way to eat his ice cream and reduce the amount of dishes Mom has to do. A boy after his mother's heart. Goofing in the tub. Will has always loved to wear hats. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This is good bye.

Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. Every Memorial Day that I have been home since 1982, I have participated in the service Hendrum holds at the five local cemeteries to remember those who died during or after protecting our country in the armed services. All but one of the churches that once held these people have long ago been destroyed or moved but the markers of the members remain. The words of the poems I have read each year flow quickly off my tongue from memory:. Even some cousins lie here.

Two Little Monkeys: Sick Monkeys in Perspectives
http://twolittlekarstensmonkeys.blogspot.com/2012/01/sick-monkeys-in-perspectives.html
Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. Sick Monkeys in Perspectives. The yuck hit us Friday night. It has been going around fast and furious. We only got a little taste of it - only two pukes and no major poops. Some of my friends have reported spending 12 hours in the bathroom, sleeping on the floor between bouts. A few loads of laundry and some ibuprofen later we are feeling much better. No, not at all. It is just on my mind and I wanted to share. So well said, sissy. January 8, 2012 at 11:16 AM.

Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. V - A - C - A - TION. Just the four of us left for Apple Valley and the Minnesota Zoo on Sunday, June 28th. We had. Never gone anywhere that didn't involve going with or meeting up with family before. Kinda like a vacation. We had fun on our first official family vacation but I think I'm glad it was only 3 days and we won't be going on another one until next summer. With us. Sleeping on the cool kitchen floor after a huge workout with the big kids. So ...Will ...

Living and learning - it's a jungle in here. I'll craft if I want to. A friend at work put a bug in my ear about where she could get matching knit hats for her daughters that weren't a million dollars. I can't knit to save my life - oh, how I've tried. But I can crochet like a demon. Any pattern. Any time. It felt really good to pick up the hook and feel the yarn slide through my fingers again. It's just like falling off a horse. I think I may work a few more before I'm done. Last pictures of 2010. Livin...
