National Theatre Young Studio and Ludovic Des Cognets. I'm a London-based composer working across both acoustic and electronic music, often combining live instrumentalists and singers with richly textured electronics to create hypnotic and all-enveloping soundworlds. Born Mad's latest show - Sister. Premièred at the Spitalfields Music Summer Festival and will embark on a national tour in 2017, whilst our next show will be created over the course of a two year Open Space residency at Aldeburgh Music.

Our first event back in July featured viola da gamba player Liam Byrne. Taking us on an extraordinary journey through works both old and new. Incorporating everything from early music by Lorenzo da Firenze and Picforth through to a number of contemporary works commissioned by Liam himself, the set summed up his fantastic versatility as a player and showed what an amazing range of colours he can tease out of the viola da gamba.
