What you produce could be a flop or could be a hit. Fortunately, Jemina Pearl has found herself in the latter bracket and created a very solid debut offering. The release of Break It Up comes just over a year after much loved band Be Your Own Pet. Musically the album finds its influences from a swinging 60’s/70...

Hot Salvation: Cosmic Thoughts Rides
http://hotsalvation.blogspot.com/2009/11/cosmic-thoughts-rides.html
Sights.Sounds.Words.South. I've wanted to stay relatively quiet about the latest incarnation of mine and Bones' adventures into what we think is acceptable to play for longer than a month. I'd been obsessing over Suicide File and some more chaotic, older 31G type stuff too. A song came. Practice was good. But as with every thing we'd tried since 2007, we got bored. Quick. Since then, we've been playing, scrapping back the layers, the chords, the riffs, and finding what it really is to write a pop song th...

Sights.Sounds.Words.South. GREAT ANCESTORS RIGHT NOW. We finished the new recording this week. Its true what they say, practice makes perfect. I still need to practice, but IMPROVEMENT! I'm so pleased with the results, its filthy, sleazy, and a great direction for them to head in. Go and check out. my vocal skills enhance the track tenfold in the last chorus OBV! Sights.Sounds.Words.South. After studying Marketing in Music, and being in a band that wrangled with the ugly music industry myself, i think I'm one of thousands that could see this happening, and it's a pleasure to witness true musical evolution that makes such good sense for ease of use, quality, sentimentality and the collector factor in us. Goodbye CDs, and fuck you for wasting 20 years! Http:/ blog.wired.com/music/2007/05/lpmp3 the ultim.html. Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter - 'Reckless Burning'.

Wednesday, 25 March 2009. Well, where to start? We had one of, if not the best week weeks we've ever had as a band at SXSW in Austin this week just gone. From meeting at the airport to driving back to Houston to fly home it was amazing. I was lucky enough to catch no less than 26 different bands whilst we were there, some twice. My top 5 (in no specific order) would probably be something like this:. Cursive - who played The Ugly Organ almost from start to finish. Until then, our headline tour of the UK i...

This is my blog about all things musical. Here you will find bands and artists I like that you should be aware of. Bands and artists that you like but don’t see coverage anywhere else. And bands and artists you have heard of and will think to yourself “What’s that doing on here? 8221; You’ll see Hardcore. You’ll see Punk, Metal, Indie and even a little Pop. You know when you ask people “What type of music do you like? I feel what is happening here, is taking place all over this country of ours. There...
