Baltimore AMS Special Session (16 January 2003)
/Baltimore.html
Was held in 2001 at the New Orleans Joint Meetings. This session is devoted to algorithms and computational techniques for algebraic curves, Riemann surfaces, algebraic surfaces, and low-dimensional varieties. We are interested in reports on algorithms to solve problems or on a significant use of computational algebraic or analytic techniques to obtain results. Algorithmic, algebraic, arithmetic, and analytic aspects of curves and surfaces are appropriate topics. And Emil Volcheck at volcheck@acm.org.
Atlanta AMS Special Session (3 January 2005)
/Atlanta.html
Was held in 1999 at the San Antonio Joint Meetings, the second special session. Was held in 2001 at the New Orleans Joint Meetings, and the third special session. Was held in 2003 at the Baltimore Joint Meetings. Read the list of speakers and their abstracts for the special sessions in 1999. On computational algebraic and analytic geometry to see what previous speakers in this series of special sessions have presented. The final deadline for abstract submission was 5 October 2004. I have previously shown...
In this short time, our operation has grown from 1 ranch and 2000 acres, to over a few dozen ranches in 3 countries, and over 1,000,000 acres of hunting ground. Recently, we have changed our name to better reflect the hunting opportunities of our entire operation, and not just our hog hunts. In our founding articles of incorporation, and as a part of our mission statement, our hunting operation was to provide a no-cost hunting opportunity to groups such as charitable organizations, church groups, Boy Sco...
The central thesis of the book is that basic Calculus can be developed much more easily and painlessly if the Exterior Derivative is used from the start. This leads naturally to Differential Forms and these in turn can easily be shown to give Integration simply by defining it as a product. I m putting it in a way that is clear, readable and, hopefully, entertaining. So I have preferred English readability to mathematical formality wherever reasonably possible. I define integration as a product between a ...
