After being rather disappointed with the recent election, coming to grips with Jim Inhofe taking control again of the Senate Environment Committee, I’ve been wondering what I can do for future elections. Some kind of economic crash? Was his reference point before or after the crash? Enter my newest idea: can you come up with a machine learning system that is capable of aggregating facts, classifying news articles based on their usage of facts, and generally providing a tool for enlightening the public?

Cora Zane Writes: Plot Hole Whack-a-Mole: Kitteh edition
http://corazane.blogspot.com/2015/08/plot-hole-whack-mole-kitteh-edition.html
Thursday, August 06, 2015. Plot Hole Whack-a-Mole: Kitteh edition. This is me, trying to find and fix all the plot holes. I sent the original around to a few publishers, when many were loudly crying no more vampire novels! Hello, my name is Cora. My characters, they aren't who I thought they were. Just when you think you know someone, am I right? Constructively speaking, what great lesson have I taken away from all this? Again, what I. Take away from this. Your mileage may vary.). Pros and cons exist for...

Cora Zane Writes: September 2014

Saturday, September 27, 2014. I wish I had something more exciting to say, but the reality is that these past six weeks have been a complete blur. Oh! That's all for now. I'm going to take a hot bubble bath and settle in to do some reading. American History. I have a quiz coming up. C'est la vie. Until next time, happy wishes! 9829;♥♥. Monday, September 15, 2014. http://corazane.blogspot.com/2015/07/twitter-bonanza-manuscript-wish-list.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Twitter Bonanza : Manuscript Wish List : 2015. I ended up on Twitter first and saw all my writerly people buzzing about #mswl. I had no idea what it was, so I investigated. It's an event where editors and agents tweet what their manuscript wish lists are. That's the gist of it. No pitches allowed. For a complete archive of the event, you can go to twitter and type #mswl in search, or you can go to ManuscriptWishList.com. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Erotic romance author an...

Cora Zane Writes: December 2014
http://corazane.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Happy New Year (of the Wood Goat). Bring on the New Year! As I said in an earlier post, 2015 is an "8" vibration year. It's also the year of the wood goat. You can read more about that here: http:/ www.gotohoroscope.com/2015-horoscope/. Overall, things should go more smoothly for those who had a trying year in 2014. (Count me among you! And Tarot by Tilly. No particular order. I love them all.). As for celebration plans, I'll be hanging out with the family tonight. We're...

Cora Zane Writes: February 2015
http://corazane.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. After several days of ice and snow, it's mostly melted now. Nothing left but a few patches in the yard. Boohoo. It was great fun while it lasted, though. Mini wasn't jazzed about returning to school today at all. Yesterday I managed to get roughly 2800 words written. My weekly total is sitting at just over 11k. I'm very happy with those numbers, and I'm looking to add to that amount after lunch. The main thing is to keep the story moving forward. So far, so good. Up until now, ...

Cora Zane Writes: January 2015
http://corazane.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2015. Last night I crossed the 40k threshold for the novel I'm working on, and today, after a few hours writing, I'm pushing closer to 45k. This is major progress for me. I've been creatively stoppered for months. I'm pleased with the current word count. Forty thousand: that's my happy zone number. Stories that hit that mark tend to run the full mile to completion. Such is my experience anyway. There are areas that need more fleshing out, and that's a good thing. That means I'll e...

Cora Zane Writes: Seeing Stars: Over the 60k Mark
http://corazane.blogspot.com/2015/07/seeing-stars-over-60k-mark.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Seeing Stars: Over the 60k Mark. This afternoon, I sat down and sketched out the ending of the novel. Up to this point, I had only a very loose idea for an ending. Okay, I was flying blind toward an event that had no name. I didn't have a tangible end target at all, and didn't realize it until I took a break this morning to read an interview. Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love,. To work to play, and to look up at the stars. - Henry Van Dyke. Show Me The Money!
