Allocation For Life Blog www.allocationforlife.com. Thursday, April 30, 2015. May Historical Sector and S&P 500 Analysis. After removing the high and low returns for statistical analysis, the historical data shows that energy stocks have been the best performing sector over the trailing twenty-five, twenty and fifteen months of May. Telecom stocks were the leading sector the past ten years during the month of May. My faith in that being the beginning of a trend is not very strong. Trailing 10 Yr Mean.

Allocation For Life Blog www.allocationforlife.com. Sunday, September 30, 2012. Sept: How The Sectors Stood Up. 25 Year Sept Mean. S&P 500 Index TR. S&P 500 Index TR. As always I thought it would be interesting to see how various sectors performed in the month of September versus their trailing twenty-five year average mean performance. September was a very difficult month to place faith in the historical data. The only major surprise was in the real estate sector. The rest of the sectors, with the excep...

Common Sense Investing: August 2012
http://allocationforlife.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Allocation For Life Blog www.allocationforlife.com. Thursday, August 30, 2012. Not Your Fathers Market. The S&P 500 has been in a hold to slightly negative pattern the last couple of weeks. I am shocked at the markets desire for more stimulus from Fed Chief Bernanke this week at the Jackson Hole symposium. Investors seem to be cheering negative economic news and selling the market on positive news for the economy. What more do investors want the Fed to do? QE1, QE2 and Operation Twist were not enough?

Allocation For Life Blog www.allocationforlife.com. Friday, August 30, 2013. Sept Hisotical S&P and Sector Analysis. This month, as always, I am sharing the average sector and S&P 500 performance for the month of September over the last twenty-five years. Though I am sharing this data with you, I can honestly say I am not relying on any of the data calculated going into this September. Historical trends should be thrown out the window going into this September. My takeaway is that September is not necess...

http://allocationforlife.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Allocation For Life Blog www.allocationforlife.com. Tuesday, February 26, 2013. March Historical Sector Analysis. Over the last twenty-five years the month of March has been a very good month to invest in stocks. Each of these sectors has. Obviously the past does not predict the future. Heading into this March fear is increasin...
