I cut my leg open on my chainring, and couldn't do the preride because I needed stitches. My only other chance to preride was the day before the race. Doing well at Sea Otter means earning a spot at MTB Nationals in Granby, Colorado. I started training promptly after the last Pilarcitos race, in mid-December.
