http://skrevsky.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School. Saturday, August 23, 2008. And I know things now, many valuable things. I shall begin with an anecdote and then tell you more about my Shabbat. Oh no This is bad. If there's no power in the elevator, will it plummet to the ground? I really should have taken the stairs. This is the first time I've been trapped in the elevator.it's a shehechiyanu moment! Really, I thought that. You know you should be a Jewish educator when.). Where's my phone and who can I call?

Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School: March 2009
http://skrevsky.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School. Monday, March 30, 2009. Trip to the Negev. Last week, HUC took all of the first year students on a tiyul (trip). To the south for 4 days. We got on the bus early in the morning. During which time I, of course, fell asleep) and woke up to a barren. Landscape of beige. Initially not so incredibly thrilling, but I grew. To truly fall in love with the desert. After visiting the grave site of Ben Gurion, we met our desert guide. Short) hikes I've ever been on. Guide s...

http://skrevsky.blogspot.com/2008/12/and-look-how-far-ive-come.html
Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School. Friday, December 12, 2008. And look how far I've come. I've just hit a little over the 5 month mark of living in Israel. How crazy! So much has changed over the past few months that it makes my head spin. I keep on imagining different workshops and adult ed. sessions on Jewish music. And it's only 5 months into this fantastic journey! The very first full day I was in Israel, I went by HUC and noticed a posting of all the cantorial concerts this year. I rememb...

Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School: Long and overdue entry
http://skrevsky.blogspot.com/2009/02/long-and-overdue-entry.html
Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School. Saturday, February 21, 2009. Long and overdue entry. I'm hanging my head in shame right now. I haven't written about my life in Jerusalem in such a long time that I don't even know where to begin at this point! I'll give a summary I guess of some highlights and then hopefully continue to post regularly for the rest of the year. How else will you separate Shabbat from the rest of the week? I know that in the next few days I'll think of more to tell you, but that's...

Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School: September 2008
http://skrevsky.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Jerusalem smells like kugel. I went for a walk yesterday around Jerusalem and realized as I walked past many of the apartment buildings that I was getting very hungry. Because I hadn't eaten yet? No Because people were cooking in preparation for Erev Rosh Hashanah and all the smells were wafting out of the building. It was a very delicious smelling walk to say the least. May this be a year of sweet blessings for you all! Here is what ...

http://skrevsky.blogspot.com/2008/11/happy-thanksgiving.html
Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School. Friday, November 28, 2008. I can not believe how incredibly fast the time has been flying so far this year. It literally feels like yesterday that it was scrambling for the High Holidays and taking summer ulpan. Suddenly, I know how to lead a weekday morning service, have translated from the Torah, read Haftorah, traveled to Haifa and Tzfat (yes, again), and saw a Yiddish concert! Here is an update on what has been going. Yes, we celebrated. Our class decided...

Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School: Leading Monday services #2
http://skrevsky.blogspot.com/2008/12/leading-monday-services-2.html
Sarah's Journey Through Cantorial School. Wednesday, December 17, 2008. Leading Monday services #2. This past Monday morning I led as the cantor for the student led Shacharit services at HUC. My partner was a rabbinical student named Rachel. We began planning this service about 6-7 weeks ago. Let me tell you, those weeks fly by fast! Another special part of the service was right before the mourners' Kaddish. Rachel had heard a poem called The Lanyard. 8211; Billy Collins. Off the blue walls of this room,.
