Warwickshire Avon.: Blȉssed ﻝ
http://warksavon.blogspot.com/2015/07/blissed.html
A journal of my fishing, but all electronic and that. Sunday, 12 July 2015. I've caught a couple of decent fish recently, and they've served to add the perfect punctuation to what proved two tip-top weekends. The fish and the preceding fun are now intertwined as memories. Little bundles of joy in my thick head. I'm certain the context or backdrop against which we fish influences if not the outcome then at least the enjoyment of the end result. One pair of safe hands between us. Back home for Sunday I saw...

River Piker: Fox easy twist trace wire - trace making PART 2
http://riverpiker.blogspot.com/2013/04/fox-easy-twist-trace-wire-trace-making.html
Monday, 8 April 2013. Fox easy twist trace wire - trace making PART 2. Watch the video for a better understanding of how to make a wire trace using Fox easy twist wire. I was meant to do this some time ago but it slipped my mind. I previously chucked up a quick post. Make a loop in the wire and thread it through the eye of the swivel. Push the swivel back through the loop and pull tight. Try to keep this neat and tight for better presentation and finish. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Red Two: Part 3.

River Piker: Reservoir blogs
http://riverpiker.blogspot.com/2012/12/reservoir-blogs.html
Sunday, 2 December 2012. I'm kind of confused as to how I feel right now. I'm not disappointed, because I didn't target a monster, knew it would be very tough and the result was what I predicted. Any fish, any fish, would. Have been a bonus. But days before I was already finding myself thinking, "what if? I've not fished Chew, the more famous big pike venue, but would guess that this is what many go through over and over again. In fact a couple of mates have just come back from there this week and I ...

River Piker: Re-weighting Squirrely Burts
http://riverpiker.blogspot.com/2014/08/re-weighting-squirrelly-burts.html
Monday, 25 August 2014. A couple of new Burts have arrived, thanks to Lure Lounge. That's it, your Burts are now super fish catching lures. I know a few people who don't always get on with them and can't catch a pike. I promise you if you follow this guide your Burt will catch pike. That downward stroke followed by a pause, however long or short you want, will trigger a fish at some point. 20 February 2016 at 19:28. Nice post. Different lure with some weight in the head. 20 February 2016 at 21:08. Anothe...

This Angling Life: March 2015
http://thisanglinglife.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 15 March 2015. My river season has been a strange one this year - I've hardly done any to speak of in comparison to previous years. Most of my time has been spent lure fishing the canals for zander and the odd perch instead. My visits to the rivers has been so few and far between I don't think I even fished for barbel this year which I aim to rectify in the new season ahead. The only other notable capture since the last update is this lovely 2lb 4oz canal perch caught at the beginning of March.

Been Caught Fishing: 06/01 Trent
http://herefishy-fishy.blogspot.com/2013/01/0601-trent.html
My name is Matt Kemp, I hope you enjoy reading my fishing diary. Just some short accounts of fishing on my local rivers (usually the Derbyshire Derwent or the Trent). I try to keep this diary updated as often as possible, and I do go fishing quite often. If its not been updated it probably means I've not been fishing. Sunday, 6 January 2013. Another mild, dry January day, should have been ideal. Somehow left my chair in the car which made for an uncomfortable session. A Derby Angler's Journal. THE ONE TH...

Pike Fishing - Andrew Kennedy goes Piking and manages to land Two Twenties in Two Weeks!
http://just-fish.co.uk/articles/13-20lb-pike.html
Q & A. X45;mail Me. Two Twenties in Two Weeks! Since starting serious pike fishing back in January 2000, most of my winter sessions have been devoted to this superb predator. Following a dire 2004 campaign, this season I have fared much better and caught many doubles from a variety of venues, on a diverse mix of methods and baits. The Waiting Game - As I sat in hope that a pike lived in this reedbed. My first-ever 20lb Pike - 20lb 12oz. When the net was weighed and deducted, the pike's true weight went 2...
