Redneps: January 2009
http://redneps.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 22, 2009. On Saturday, my son made his first pilgrimage to Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea Football Club, for a Premier League game against Stoke City. We have B's Godmother, Helen, to thank for his obsession with the club. He had a fantastic time, so Chelsea FC can welcome another fan to their ranks. Emma Thompson on the third runway at Heathrow. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Bored of the sight of it! Friday, January 09, 2009. I'm having the stitches out of my leg on Sunday, and then...

Redneps: September 2008
http://redneps.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 08, 2008. Today was a big day. B went to off to school for the first time. Our little boy is off into the big 'ol world and we're going to have to face the fact that he's going to find people cooler than us. Gulp. In the blink of an eye, he'll be getting a tattoo and scraping my car. It's all part of the great journey of life. Saturday, September 06, 2008. Boat Pond, Central Park. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Redneps: Gladstone Pottery Museum
http://redneps.blogspot.com/2009/03/gladstone-pottery-museum.html
Wednesday, March 04, 2009. We visited the Gladstone Pottery Museum. At the weekend. It's the last remaining complete 'bottle kiln' pottery factory in Stoke on Trent. The area is also known as the Potteries due to it's heritage as the home of companies such as Wedgwood. I even got to 'throw a pot'. It isn't the best pencil holder you'll ever see, but I'm proud of it! If you are ever in the area wondering what to do, it was a great day out for the whole family, including grandparents and small children.

http://redneps.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 04, 2009. The Blog is Dead. Long Live the Blog. So, I've decided to kill it! But, from the ashes a new blog will rise as part of a Web site I'm building to share my experiences, mainly through photographs, of living in New York City. It'll be ready in the next week or so. Let me know via email (if you know me, you'll know my email address) or or DM me via Twitter if you want the new URL. The blog is dead; long live the blog! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Redneps: Only 42 weeks to go
http://redneps.blogspot.com/2009/02/only-42-weeks-to-go.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Only 42 weeks to go. Here's a quote from a recent story in the Independent. About Arsenal striker Eduardo that gives me a lot of hope:. When Martin Taylor dived in and accidentally shredded Eduardo’s leg at St Andrews on Feb 23, some observers suggested he may never play again. Eduardo had no doubts and his tough personality guaranteed this comeback from a broken fibula and dislocated ankle. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow me on Twitter. Alyssa in Lima, Peru.

Redneps: October 2008
http://redneps.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Leaves falling after heavy frost. Whilst walking Hobbes early this morning through the Royal Shakespeare Gardens alongside the River Avon, I was struck by the rapid rate and loud noise of the leaves falling from the trees. The heavy frost last night must of taken its toll on the already shedding trees. This could win the title of the most boring short video ever, but it was fascinating to watch (maybe you had to be there! Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Thursday, October 23, 2008.

Redneps: Christmas Crackers: Update
http://redneps.blogspot.com/2009/01/christmas-crackers-update.html
Friday, January 09, 2009. As a quick update to my last post, the surgery to my ankle was a complete success. I'm now a little heavier due to the six screws and two plates that are holding my foot to my leg, but it's all back in the right place and ready for mother nature to work her (slow) magic. Long term prospects are "good". The surgeon is confident that I'll be okay, but he doesn't hold out any hopes for my return to competitive field hockey. Sadly, my 20th season will be my last. Redneps: March 2009
http://redneps.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Northern Ireland's Skeleton in the Closet. I revisited Ireland two weeks ago to attend the funeral of my Grandmother. I was surprised by how much had changed in the last decade since the Good Friday Agreement and the peace that followed it. But I also saw how much hadn't changed too. Fierce nationalism, stoic patriotism and religion continues to be a divisive issue. I can't quite believe that the majority of schools still segregate protestants and Catholics.
