So You're Interested In Reenacting. Some members of the 6th do civilian impressions, as not everyone wants to be in the infantry and not everyone needs to be. Indeed, civilian impressions help round out the image of wartime life that we are trying to present. Home of the Sixth Regiment South Carolina Volunteers. This image highlights the areas of York, Chester, Lancaster and Fairfield Counties of South Carolina and shows their respective location within the central part of the upstate. It was from these four counties of South Carolina the majority of men whom were destined to become members of the 6th Regiment originated. The Sixth South Carolina at Seven Pines. The following address was delivered by General John Bratton on the battlefield of Seven Pines, Virginia, on the 6th of August, 1885 to the survivors of the Sixth Regiment, South Carolina Volunteers. He answered, ‘Press them.’ I told him that embarrassment as to my flank and rear had prevented me from crossing the abattis pretty much with them, at least in close pursuit, and asked if I should succeed again, will you look to flanks and rear?
