Two Glasses of Wine Deep. Asymp; 2 Comments. Yes we are thankful that we can raise our children so they aren’t being raised in daycare but we miss feeling successful and feeling like you’re making a contribution to your family. I cant be the only one! Oh and how dare us bitch about being a stay at home mom because we have it so easy right? We sit on the couch watching Say Yes to the Dress and eating Cheetos with our feet propped up all day… WRONG. Larr; Previous post. November 4, 2014 at 3:39 am. Create ...

Bringing Charlie Home: Bethel Reunion
http://seaboltsloveadoption.blogspot.com/2016/08/bethel-reunion.html
Saturday, August 13, 2016. As many of you know, Charlie was at Bethel China. Now it is the home to about 50 kids. All receiving care and attention. It is not ideal; a family is ideal, but the Bethel staff works hard to treat these kids with dignity, to give them life skills (they often come to Bethel unable to even walk because the orphanage leaves them in their cribs so long) and advocating for them for adoption. They depend on sponsorships. What a crazy ride for him! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Bringing Charlie Home: March 2016
http://seaboltsloveadoption.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2016. The Times They Are A-Changing. I just read over my last post which started with "I don't want to jinx anything, but things are going really well." Ha! I am sure people judge me. "Well, she signed up for this. It was her idea to adopt these kids. She made the bed, now she can lie down in it." Yes, I did. And I hope and believe that one day, it will all be worth it. So let's pray it is so, and encourage one another along the way. Isn't it more exciting than the status quo? We are ...

Bringing Charlie Home: Home 1 Year!
http://seaboltsloveadoption.blogspot.com/2016/07/home-1-year.html
Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Ladies and gentlemen, we have turned a corner! There is a little rhyme that Charlie says all the time, I guess he learned it in China, or on YouTube:. Ha, ha, ha! At some point in the past couple of months, he and Stephen have started calling each other Big Johnny and Little Johnny. So add that to the list of things Charlie calls his dad. Stephen, Babi, Papa, Johnny, Stephen Seabolt, Dad, and occasionally Daddy. Stephen is starting his new job next week, which is in an office...

Bringing Charlie Home: January 2016
http://seaboltsloveadoption.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Upsetting The Apple Cart. Toys He literally told her almost every day for a while that it was time she "go back China! The sweet, sweet boy that we had had for almost three years became difficult to live with. He was selfish and could even be mean. One day he was watching Diego on TV and when Kate realized it, she went and got his Diego doll and brought it to him. He threw it across the room, it hit the wall, and he screamed, "Go away! I no like you! I have cool box too!

Bringing Charlie Home: August 2015
http://seaboltsloveadoption.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2015. Back to Life, Back to Reality. Now I wasn't all that excited about going back to work, mostly just because I was worried for Stephen and not sure how Charlie would handle it, but everyone was fine, and I had a great day. My co-workers kept calling me a saint. I know they meant it in the nicest way, but it's just a weird thing to hear and accept when you just see yourself as a mom. I can't believe how much he has changed since I last saw him! He rocked his cane and did not freak o...

Bringing Charlie Home: School Days
http://seaboltsloveadoption.blogspot.com/2016/08/school-days.html
Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Our school started back last week on August 1st. I know that is crazy early to go back to school, but I am glad for it. It is too hot to play outside, too hot to even go to the pool! It makes me happy that we've found such a vital tool to help him succeed, but it makes me sad that he didn't have it for so long and spent a lot of his life getting into trouble. I think about all the kids in Chinese orphanages with ADHD with no diagnosis, no hope for medication, constantly be...
