http://www.spoonysmusicdiary.com/2012/01/inspiration-for-mr-tambourine-releasing.html
Advertise on Spoonys Music Diary. Music Reviews and Disclosure. Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Inspiration for "Mr. Tambourine Man" Releasing His First Solo Album. Bruce Langhorne, who played guitar for Dylan during his heyday and was the inspiration for the acoustic classic "Mr. Tambourine Man" has released his first solo album,. To be titled "Mr. Tambourine Man." It's reasonable that he would try to capitalize off the popularity of the Dylan classic, but odd that he would wait over 45 years to do so! Blowin...

http://notesfromtheidiotchild.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Notes from the Idiot Child. A Blog about Books and Bob. Monday, July 18, 2011. Bob Dylan and his Band in Southern California (including a very slight interaction with "his Band"). Here's my take on two Dylan shows I attended at the end of last week. I've previously posted these reviews on the Bob Links website. Flew down from Seattle to catch the Southern CA shows, seeing Bob is skipping the Pacific NW this time around. You gotta do what you gotta do to see Dylan! What else can I say? What a surprise, eh?

Although this lyric from. Was penned in the first years of the new century, it has been Dylan. To be without a home? Like a complete unknown? Recently Bob Dylan played two shows in Minnesota, in the places he lived before he became. Without staying for him, both nights. When I asked how he could possibly judge the perfo...

Notes from the Idiot Child: Forty Miles of Bad Road: Bob Dylan’s Chrysler Ad
http://notesfromtheidiotchild.blogspot.com/2014/03/forty-miles-of-bad-road-bob-dylans.html
Notes from the Idiot Child. A Blog about Books and Bob. Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Forty Miles of Bad Road: Bob Dylan’s Chrysler Ad. I’ve been sitting on this post for a while. Sometimes I like to wait for all the initial reactions to a new Dylan story to die down. Usually time offers a clearer perspective. I haven’t seen any blogs accusing Dylan of being a “fascist” lately, so hopefully the stupidity has ebbed.). At the end of April for two more shows of the Someday-It-Actually-Will-End-Tour. Honestly, le...

Spoony's Music: Leonard Cohen - Darkness
http://www.spoonysmusicdiary.com/2012/01/leonard-cohen-darkness.html
Advertise on Spoonys Music Diary. Music Reviews and Disclosure. Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Leonard Cohen - Darkness. Leonard Cohen has released a new single from his upcoming album, entitled "Darkness." And Whoa Nellie does it live up to its name. Opening with some very brooding guitar strumming, Leonard Cohen sings with a dangerous tone reminiscent perhaps of "Waiting for the Miracle." But make no mistake: this song is no repackaging of old tunes. Leonard Cohen - Darkness. Jimmy Fallon as Bob Dylan.

Spoony's Music: A Mingus Memorial in the Works!
http://www.spoonysmusicdiary.com/2012/01/mingus-memorial-in-works.html
Advertise on Spoonys Music Diary. Music Reviews and Disclosure. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. A Mingus Memorial in the Works! As some of you may know, Charles Mingus is my favorite musician (email me for album recommendations). That's why I was delighted read that Mingus's hometown of Nogales, Arizona is planning to honor the jazz bassist with a memorial. Charles Mingus composed and performed an extensive and diverse array of avant-garde jazz before dying of Lou Gehrig's disease in 1979 at the age of 56.

Notes from the Idiot Child: Bob Dylan Books
http://notesfromtheidiotchild.blogspot.com/2010/12/bob-dylan-books.html
Notes from the Idiot Child. A Blog about Books and Bob. Monday, December 20, 2010. So there is no need for me to ramble on endlessly about Dylan. I will write about him only on occasion. But I believe I have found a slightly different way to approach the topic of Zimmerman: every so often I will discuss one of the above mentioned books. From his own 2004 memoir, Chronicles, Volume 1. To Larry Sloman's excellent reportage of the 1975 Rolling Thunder tour, On the Road with Bob Dylan. Is clearly the man who...
