I love fried chicken wings, deep fried breaded chicken drumsticks, spicy chicken vindaloo, juicy chicken curry, tender chicken tandori, ayam masak merah and on and on and on. So here I was minding my own business. and a chinaman asks me if I am chinese. yes, he is a chinaman. no I don't usually call them chinamen but this one was asking for it. people from mainland china always feel the to urge to chat up chinese looking people. maybe they like talking to their own kind. anyway, back to the chinaman. 'are you chinese? He asks. different from the usual 'you chinese? That I sometimes get. I say yes. am I not chinese? He says, 'so you're not chinese!

Apparently it is still an official holiday in russia and other eastern european countries. women's day. a flower for each girl. it was a small gesture but it really did brighten up my day. it bloomed a little more today and it just looks great. This does not happen with the olympics. you get sucked in! Watching skiier after skiier come down that stupid slalom course. watching stupid bobsleds slide down one after another. is this actually entertaining? Mildly I suppose. is it a waste of time? Does it really matter? And how can we miss the playground rivalry of the long track?
