As I move around our local communities, I am always confronted by the problems–seeing families and lives ruined by alcohol and drugs.With the emergence of HIV in the 1980s, the entire situation became worse. The family program offers support and education on the devastating impact of chemical dependency and the hope offered through counseling and recovery. The issue of co-dependency is explained and the principle of 12 steps applied. Primary therapists are available to provide assistance with discharge planning and aftercare services.
