It's nice to be back in a class of people, rather than working alone. There was an error in this gadget. Tuesday, 14 June 2011. Day One - 11/06/2011. So, to get to Bergen we had to take the train from Oslo. The Oslo-Bergen journey is said to be one of the most amazing in the world, and I have to agree. the variation of views was amazing. one minute your surrounded by lush greenery and lakes, the next, your on a glacier 1,237 meters above sea level. There was an error in this gadget. Friday, 27 August 2010. As part of the Textile Design course here in Kuopio we do weaving, only these looms are 10x bigger than the ones used in 1st year! After a demo from Helena, I learned how to set up the loom and use the pedals in a pattern that creates circular shapes within the woven fabric. It feels good to be back at a loom, it feels new again! After a lot of explaining, I'm yet to figure out what 'tappi' is. Tuesday, 24 August 2010. Monday, 23 August 2010.

There was an error in this gadget. Sunday, 30 January 2011. Since arriving back in Kuopio, Helen and I have decided to finally do all the thing's we've been meaning to do! This weekend, we walked on a frozen lake! Lake Kallevesi surround the whole of Kuopio and during the winter months it freezes over, changing the appearance of Kuopio completely. They left us have our room at about 9am, 5 hours before the usual check-in time, which was nice! Krakow was one of the nicests rooms we stayed in.
