cake: i was in sydney for 21 hours

http://computercake.blogspot.com/2010/04/i-was-in-sydney-for-21-hours.html

Monday, 5 April 2010. I was in sydney for 21 hours. I caught up with 2 lovely ladies I met in Berlin. I hunted for a horse statue in the Botanical Gardens my Dad told me he slept under one night in his wayward youth. I found one but don't know if it was THE one. I looked at the sparkling water and skinny terrace houses and giant motorboats of Sydney and as usual thought 'I should visit properly sometime soon.'. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). cake: January 2009

http://computercake.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, 24 January 2009. I didn't write. Why, I hardly know. I was lazy and the weather had turned warm. I thought of Arthur often; so often, indeed, that correspondence seemed unecessary. It was as though we were in some kind of telepathic communication. Labels: quote Christopher Isherwood Last Days of Mr Norris. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). How is the View. This Week In Flemington.

cake: April 2009

http://computercake.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 28 April 2009. I went for a ride in the Tiergarten and the air was full of white fluff. Some species of tree there is going crazy with Spring, sending out something like cotton wool or fairyfloss to hang on the breeze, catch the sun and gather thick on the water. Sunday, 26 April 2009. Somebody told me a story about bumblebees that I'd like to remember. Thursday, 23 April 2009. I went to see 'Vorspannkino', an exhibition of cinema opening titles at KW Berlin. Labels: found lost love curious.

cake: mysterioso

http://computercake.blogspot.com/2010/02/spooky-moving-rocks.html

Tuesday, 16 February 2010. Future analysis with new technology may shed more light on the mystery of the moving rocks at the Racetrack Playa of Death Valley. However no matter how much is determined about the moving rocks, their beauty and magic will always be impressive and mysterious to those who travel the treacherous gravel roads to visit the incredible dried lake bed.". This week in Flemington: June 2008

http://thisweekinflemington.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

This week in Flemington. Friday, June 13, 2008. Thursday, June 12, 2008. My girly legs are showing. I thought: okay. I’m prepared to go with this. It was quite joyous, really. And it’s working, too. At the lockers today I caught J— and S— in a skirted huddle, comparing pictures of meerkats that they had found on the net. They were trying to figure out which one was the best looking. 8220;That one looks more like B—,” insisted S—. (B— is the hot boy in the class.). An awkward pause.  . 8221; So F—man.

This week in Flemington: \Arrival

http://thisweekinflemington.blogspot.com/2008/07/arrival.html

This week in Flemington. Monday, July 14, 2008. As the plane turned over Berlin I saw, looking from the window, a vast brown smokedrift over the nearby forest, swinging toward us on the wind like a greeting. From above the city looked like a rubble-heap in the middle of nowhere. I stood behind some French girls, about twenty, who were saying that they were glad they were going to see their families—but wouldn’t it be sad to leave. Do you speak English? Yes, I replied. Hi. Where are you staying? M—&...

This week in Flemington. Monday, April 28, 2008. Sunday night marking is not that bad.              . But it does suck. Friday, April 25, 2008. Iliad, Book XII). But here’s the thing: Achilles is only able to vanquish the man because Hector decides that enough is enough, a real man can’t run forever, and he should turn and bravely face his foe. The point is, Achilles can’t catch the guy. Hector has to stop. And then there’s the tortoise. Homer doesn’t mention this episode, but according to the para...

This week in Flemington: July 2008

http://thisweekinflemington.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

This week in Flemington. Wednesday, July 16, 2008. I was sitting on a bench eating my kokosnuss icecream when a black hatchback swung in fast. A woman in a black dress with the most astonishing tower of hair ducked out. She looked about quickly, and, as I was closest, fixed on me. *Something in Deutsch*. Ja, sure, I said, but I only speak English. Oh, okay. Can you watch my car? I really need this icecream. I nodded and she smiled and… she ran. All five metres. To the icecream shop. The funny thing is I&...
