It's really quite surreal to think that we just celebrated the 2 year anniversary of us becoming a family. We celebrated by having a small get together at our home. My mother-in-law, MK and Kelly, as well as the rest of my family, were all present for the occassion. Everyone had a blast! Saturday, July 24, 2010. I blame it on Facebook. This is as close as we have come to a family portrate. On July 7th we finalized Aubrey's adoption. The girls looked so cute in their matching dresses but I couldn't get a picture of them together. Jyly seems to have a little hoarding problem! Jyly is now 4 1/2 and has been with us for 2 1/2 years. Friday, July 15, 2011. Lets just say Disney was a fail. Mega summer crowds, intense heat made for one very unhappy (and uncooperative) boy. There were moments of fun, but not at all what I envisioned. Bummer. Oh well. We did Disney over spring break 2 years ago and said, NEVER again. At least during peak season. It brings national attention to the plight of the 65 waiting children and their families who are in limbo right now- and have been for about 2 years. Reading on John Wright's blog the other day, I was haunted by the story. He told of holding an abandoned newborn at a hospital in Kyrgyzstan. Where. Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Is 11 and lives in an orphanage in the Ukraine. According to his bio he likes running, playing tag, and soccer. He loves dogs. He would like to learn how to play volleyball and wishes for his own soccer jersey. Think he has ever seen the ocean- can you imagine seeing that for the first time at the age of 11?
