A touch of Red. A blog about my interests, which include my family, my home and art/craft projects, and whatever else strikes my fancy. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. At the start of this summer, I had lofty plans of family togetherness. I planned for us to do things together like catch fireflies, stargaze, roast s'mores,. Run through the sprinklers etc. For myself I had plans of reading, finishing a painting project or two and deep cleaning and de-cluttering. July 13, 2011 at 11:28 AM. Holiday breakfasts for...

Love, Live and Laugh. Posted by Yanilza Groberg. Our trip to The Pizza Factory was very enjoyable! I really loved eating their yummy bread sticks and spaghettis with marinara sauce. James was well behaved at the restaurant, but I didn’t know that he was paying attention to how noisy it was around him, in fact at one point he said to me “Wow, adults are pretty loud mom.” Apparently the noise was distracting James from eating his food. Love, Live and Laugh. Posted by Yanilza Groberg. Amily home evening lessons are great tools for teaching important principles of the gospel. As we strive to have family home evening every Monday sometimes things don't go according to plan and most of the time we only get half of our children's attention except.this past Monday night, we focused on teaching the i. Mportance of telling the truth and what would happen if my children told a lie. Troy asked “what did you do today at school? I think that the k...

Love, Live and Laugh. Going Back To School. Posted by Yanilza Groberg. In the last two months I have been thinking a lot about school, whether I should go back or not. My schedule is a little bit busy, but I can always make room for growth. In 1998 I was going to school and really liked a fashion design class that I had, but I wanted a degree in either fashion or interior design. The only place that I could take all the classes was out of state. A Grumpy Day Turned into a Happy Day. That made my day....

One thing that will remain the same is the St Patty’s day dessert. If this holiday were to have an official dessert, I would hope it would be my family’s favorite; crème de menthe brownies. These little gems make me take the Lords name in vain, they are that good! Crème de menthe brownies. Best brownies ever recipe).

My two youngest were recently invited to a birthday party for some friends who are brothers. Love, Live and Laugh. The little book worm. Posted by Yanilza Groberg. Jonathan loves to read books, but not just any books, he likes to read fantasy, sci-fi and more. He has read more books than Troy has read in his lifetime. In this last four days he's read four thick books, I mean 1800 pages. He is so amazing to me and he does most of his reading right after he comes come from school. I love how motivated he is! When I get tired. Posted by Yanilza Groberg. What happens when I get tired? What did I say?
