Fear in Five Steps

Monday, March 10, 2014. Two years goes by fast. Posted by Tory Keith. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. I've been working with a saline (copper) sulfate etching solution on steel plates recently - I was surprised by how well it works considering I was introduced to it as a zinc etch. You can etch steel and zinc in the same bath (at the same time! With no adverse results to either metal. It's also more environmentally sound than traditional acids, with less fumes, and very reusable. Fundraiser, Secret Artworks!

Friday, June 17, 2011. Hey boys and girls,. I started a website up. Mostly shows finished series as a kind of clean-cut presentation of myself to the world at large. Not as quick and dirty as this blog. But I still plan to keep this up to date so don't you worry. There's still plenty of quick and dirty to go. Posted by Tory Keith. Friday, June 3, 2011. An Unexpected Life Choice: Hairpin Fence Installation

http://anunexpectedlifechoice.blogspot.com/2011/06/hairpin-fence-installation.html

An Unexpected Life Choice. Monday, June 6, 2011. Today I wanted to make a couple rock chairs with Vinnie but he had to work so I decided to go up to Hairpin Turn and put up an installation piece. I sorted my colored muslin strips into the basic colors. I was going to lay them on the ground in rainbow order or put them in piles. That is until I saw this bandana tied on the fence. The sky was so beautiful today. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Fear in Five Steps.

An Unexpected Life Choice: Andy Goldsworthy Inspired Sculpture Series - Come Sit With Me

http://anunexpectedlifechoice.blogspot.com/2011/05/andy-goldsworthy-inspired-sculpture.html

An Unexpected Life Choice. Thursday, May 26, 2011. Andy Goldsworthy Inspired Sculpture Series - Come Sit With Me. The Stone Chairs is a series of sculptures my fellow artist, Vinnie Gravanda, and I are making this summer. This is the first of the many installments of the sculptures. It is made of rock and some mud. They are inspired by Andy Goldsworthy's giant stone eggs as well as some other artists that I have mentioned before in my blog. We also saw this adorable, little toad too! Fear in Five Steps.

An Unexpected Life Choice. Monday, July 26, 2010. Inspiration. Patrick Dougherty and Sean Guerrero. I like making sculptures out of things that aren't very ordinary so when I saw these two sculptors I was really intrigued. The first, Patrick Dougherty, makes huge sculptures out of sticks and tree branches. They range from very abstract to large objects or shelters. They are intricately woven together.
