I decided to have another appointment with my therapist today and we discussed the fact that I am stuck in the same perfectionistic, achiever mindset which contributed to me becoming sick and getting CFS 11 years ago. Using that same sort of approach to my recovery does not work. And it’s why I don’t feel I’m getting anywhere. So today mum took me in the wheelchair to a shop a couple of towns over (about 5 miles) which is a big thing for me. 1) being in the car makes me tired. 2) going further than I’ve been for a while makes me anxious that I might push it too far…this makes me tired. 3) shops have different lights, sounds, smells etc than I’m used to…this makes me tired. But yes, this makes me tired. UNTIL I NOTICE THE DEAD PIXEL! I hate you, dead pixel!
