An Intentional Detour

Does this happen to anyone else? For some unknown reason, every time I find myself over the sink peeling an apple into the scrap bucket, the same scene from the same movie pops into my head. Now I could understand if it was a scene that had to do with peeling or apples or even food in general. But it’s not even close. Do you remember the scene in the first Pirates of the Caribbean. Movie where the pirates take Kiera Knightly away from the city and Will Turner confronts Norrington about going after them?

November | 2016 | An Intentional Detour

https://intentionaldetour.wordpress.com/2016/11

Monthly Archives: November 2016. Well, It Didn’t Snow…. Remember how we spent two days being super-productive to prepare for the first snowfall? If not, here’s the post. Well, it didn’t snow. Parts of northern and western Minnesota got several inches but we didn’t get any. The girls are very disappointed. But isn’t that a beautiful wood pile? I can just imagine the years of warm winters ahead! This entry was posted in weather. November 25, 2016. Bitty’s First Haircut. I didn’t know what to do with ...

A Difficult Decision | An Intentional Detour

https://intentionaldetour.wordpress.com/2016/12/11/a-difficult-decision

In the last few weeks, I’ve refocused my attention toward becoming the best housewife I can be. And one of the unexpected delights I have discovered is… hand washing dishes. Nope, I’m not kidding. Since we’ve returned from our epic road trip, the Bunyan girls have been doing a great job of playing together (without the need for constant Mama supervision), which has allowed me a few extra minutes to do household necessities, like washing the dishes. So am I crazy? Is this just a phase? December 11, 2016.

May | 2016 | An Intentional Detour

https://intentionaldetour.wordpress.com/2016/05

Monthly Archives: May 2016. Well, in March. And every month since), I learned how to add floss to my daily routine. In April. And since), I walked nearly five miles a day. In May. I was planning to do yoga with the Bunyan girls but…. The every-other-day thing didn’t work for me. I couldn’t remember which days I had on and off, so I think going forward, I’ll need to make my resolutions for daily activities. Nope Sleep 8 hours a night? PS My other blog. Is running a second GIVEAWAY right now. Click here.

June | 2016 | An Intentional Detour

https://intentionaldetour.wordpress.com/2016/06

Monthly Archives: June 2016. So… I’ve kept up flossing every night since March. I’ve maintained my 10,000 steps a day average since April. I dropped off the yoga wagon in May (but I will get back on this fall when Friday Night Yoga classes resume.) And I gave up sugar and flour in June (except for a few premeditated exceptions). For July, I’ve decided to begin a daily expression of GRATITUDE. Gratitude, gratefulness, appreciation, thankfulness. Account using the hashtag #DailyGratitude. June 30, 2016.

The integration of spirit and food. Appetizers and Side Dishes. Category Archives: Juices and Smoothies. March 20, 2014. Carrot juice is one of my least favorite things to drink, though I love the way I feel afterwards, so it’s worth it in the end. Here’s what I put together today, and it turned out great! 6 large organic carrots. Generous chunk of fresh ginger root. I just processed it through my Champion Juicer and voila! View all 5 comments.
