Pine Line Runner: In like a Lion?

http://pinelinerunner.blogspot.com/2014/02/last-day-of-february_28.html

Friday, February 28, 2014. In like a Lion? Last day of February.and one of the coldest days/weekends of the year ahead. But isn't there a saying that if March comes in like a lion, it'll go out like a lamb or something along those lines? Well tomorrow is March 1st and this is the forecast here in Calgary Mainly sunny. Wind up to 15 km/h. High minus 26. Extreme wind chill minus 44. Then open the door and get punched in the face by Old Man Winter. Yes, I took a picture of myself in a magazine. Sunday was a...

Pine Line Runner: Long Weekend Bliss

http://pinelinerunner.blogspot.com/2014/02/long-weekend-bliss.html

Tuesday, February 18, 2014. This weekend past was a long weekend here in Alberta - it was family day weekend, wahoo! I intended to get a good block of running in and really beat up my legs. And that I did :) My quads are pretty trashed this morning and I like that feeling. They've got to get used to this for the epic summer ahead. I was reading about the course for the Yakima 50km. Race I have coming up in Washington on April 20. So yeah it may only. Sunday I headed to Kananaskis to tackle Prairie Mounta...

Tuesday, February 8, 2011. I feel like a runner again! I have been running regularly for the past 3 weeks now and things are great. I'm slowly building up some longer runs again with doing a 13km and a 15km the last two Sundays. Man, these used to be short runs, it's crazy. I can't wait until it feels that way again! I'm stating right now a goal to break 1:30.let's see what happens shall we? Labels: Calgary Half marathon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Marathon - 3:09:37 - BMO Okan...

Pine Line Runner: December 2013

http://pinelinerunner.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 16, 2013. Halfway through December already? Running is going really well these days and we're already halfway through the Strides Run Streak! I can't believe it's Dec.16th already! December started off really painfully cold and while I like to take pride in the fact that I will go outside for a run in most conditions.I just wasn't having it. The thought of putting on 10 lbs of clothes and trudging around town at an unbearably slow pace just to say I got outside and ran in -30? I've been ...

Pine Line Runner: It's no Polar Vortex...but the Arctic Mass has arrived!

http://pinelinerunner.blogspot.com/2014/02/its-no-polar-vortexbut-arctic-mass-has.html

Thursday, February 6, 2014. It's no Polar Vortex.but the Arctic Mass has arrived! Well we've made it to February! And started it off with a lovely cold snap - one that I can't seem to get warm in. The mornings in my office are ice cold and i'm usually found wrapped in a blanket sipping away on coffee, tea and/or hot chocolate. This building has serious heating/cooling issues. My lunch workout usually warms me up and i'm good for the rest of the day! Logan and I had a complete blast - me with my Petzl Nao.

http://pinelinerunner.blogspot.com/2014/03/march-4-2014.html

Friday, March 14, 2014. March 4, 2014. March 4, 2014. 10 days ago. I lost my best friend :( My faithful companion and friend that has been with me for the last 9 years and 2 months. I never thought I would have to say good bye so soon. Our last day together - at the dog park with L-Dawg. Below are some of my favorite photos of Logan and help me to remember the happy times. Catching some shade in Fernie. Hiking near Elbow Falls. An evening at the Dog Park. More Doggy Park visits. Checking out the Bow River.

Thursday, January 9, 2014. Cheers to a Happy 2014! Well I didn't post a typical blog like most people do - reflecting on the past year, looking forward to the next. I thought about it, and then I got busy having too much Christmas fun :) Now it's January 9th and I felt the need to write something! Yakima Skyline Rim 50km - April 20. Miwok 100km - May 3 (Registered). Scout Mountain 60 km - June 7 (Registered). Sinister 7 100 mile - July 5 (Registered). Lost Soul Ultra 100 km - Sept 5 (Registered). So I to...

Running – no X in espresso – Climbing, Crossfit & Skiing in Canmore Alberta

http://blog.thaczuk.com/category/fun/running

No X in espresso – Climbing, Crossfit and Skiing in Canmore Alberta. Thirst for knowledge and human performance. Sorry No data so far. Iron Legs 50 Miler – Thank You. On Saturday I completed my first ultramarathon, the Iron Legs 50 Miler. It was tough, mostly mentally but also physically. A heartfelt thank you to the following people:. All volunteers who helped at the aid stations. Who inspired me to enter the race one year earlier. For answering my newbie running questions. For always being stoked.
