Bonjour Jean Michel ça va? I am totally exhausted, as the Ireland /France rugby game just finished and I do not have any fingernails left. Tell me about your wine tours, they sound like a good idea. What can people expect on your tour? A voyage of discovery; I take people to places they would not automatically find, away from the tourist traps. Being a local chap I can open doors and have inside knowledge for example as to which vineyard owners really care about their wine. Will I be out of my depth?

Thank you for visiting the Languedoc Wine Tours website. My name is Jean-Michel, the self appointed Languedoc Wine 'Ambassador' in Scotland. and possibly the UK. It all started 15 years ago, with the opening of the now famous restaurant La Garrigue, themed around the food, wine and landscape of the area of Languedoc where I grew up. In the heart of the Languedoc, in style. We didn’t know what to expect. Or rather we knew it would be a high quality, interesting, friendly, well-informed week in our favourite part of France. But we have never been wine-tasting, were wary of wine snobbery, reluctant to spit out a good mouthful of a stunning wine but can’t imagine good food without good wine. Andy Lawrence is the director of the registered French company Languedoc Woodburners and he is HETAS and Qualibois. He has worked in construction for over twenty years and been fitting fires for over 10 years. Based in the South East of France in a little village called Bize-Minervois, he and his family moved to this area during 2013, but have lived in France for the past ten years, mainly based in the Vendee area.
