Tue, Jul. 31st, 2007, 07:51 pm. Almost a year later. It's been almost a year since anyone has posted here. How are your children doing? My son Carlos, now 3 and a half, is making progress. Slowly, but something is something. He now does make 2 word sentences, and sometimes even 3. plus his INTENTION to talk is there, which wasn't a year ago. He will imitate sounds, and make more of an effort to communicate and make himself understood (usually combining a few loose words, and gestures).

Tue, Sep. 12th, 2006, 11:49 am. Looking for support, info. anything! Hi there, just came across this community. I have 2 sons, one is almost 6, and the other is almost 3 (turns 3 in December). My concern is about my youngest son, who definitely has a speech delay. I'm in Spain, and unfortunately there are no things like Early Intervention or Birth-to-Three programs, at least not in the area I'm in :(. We've had his hearing tested and he is has no impairment. Carlos doesn't do that. His pediatrician here ...

Sun, Sep. 21st, 2008, 10:35 pm. I'm new here, and I don't think too many people are still around in this community but I thought i'd give it a shot anyway. I recently took my son to see a Speech Therapist. He is 3, and he doesn't say any words, but does make babbling sounds, and can sometimes say what sounds like "uh oh". The speech therapist told my huband and I that he has Speech Apraxia, which didn't come as a big shock because I had read up on it a little bit before taking him in.

Tue, Feb. 14th, 2006, 09:17 pm. This is how many batteries that didn't. Get thrown out after the raid on all the noisy and blinky toys in our house. Oh. My. God. I knew we had a lot, but I didn't realize we had an army of them! Somewhere in the range of 30 or more!
