It is really an indication of how far out of whack our national politics have become when we are facing numerous serious problems and Congress can’t even address a simple one. The “debate” (we don’t ever really have a debate about anything in this country any more—just talking points) over what to do with the Postal Service is a perfect example. Some in Congress think the government should be run just like a business.

Little antique Honda motorbike (I haven’t made it as far as Gualala yet) and from the look on some of their faces I get the feeling that I may be joined by a few of them as gas prices inexoribably head toward $5/gal.
