Discovering Truths, Sharing Insights. God So Loved the World. I wrote this post before Christmas, but somehow never got it posted to my blog until now. I’m posting it now because it’s important to me! For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16-17. Just Tell Your Story…. The Heart of the Family.

Discovering Truths, Sharing Insights. Just Tell Your Story…. I was first to break the silence. Do you think what the women said is really true, I asked. I don’t know, Cleopas said. It’s hard to believe they really saw and heard angels speak! But, they seemed convinced He is alive. Suddenly, I noticed there was another man on the side of the road. I hadn’t seen him before. It seemed like he appeared from thin air! Had I been so overcome with sadness that I didn’t see him ahead of us? Why are you so foolis...

Discovering Truths, Sharing Insights. The Heart of the Family. The story is told of a father who won a toy at a raffle. He called his kids together to ask which one should have the present. “Who is the most obedient? 8221; he asked. “Who never talks back to Mother? Who does everything she says? 8221; Five small voices answered in unison. “Okay, Dad, you get the toy.”. Think of how that applies to the church, the wife of our Lord. His. Heart trusts in us. Of the family of God. Just Tell Your Story…. Thoug...

Discovering Truths, Sharing Insights. My auburn-haired granddaughter, Olive, celebrated her fourth birthday last Sunday. Like most little girls, she is a source of joy. Her parents have taught her to love books and as a result of reading please, just one more book at bedtime, she has a huge vocabulary. Olive invented the phrase yes sense as an opposite to no sense when her mother remarks, that makes no sense! Olive answered, Yes…because God is inside the branches! Him, who is able to do more? His creatio...

Discovering Truths, Sharing Insights. Thoughts on Sunday Evening Worship. Written on Sunday, March 22, 2015. After the sermon came, “I Will Sing the Wondrous Story, of the Christ Who died for me. How He left His home in glory for the cross of Calvary.” It’s a song of love and hope, of promise and victory. How sorely our world needs such a message! Just Tell Your Story…. Discovering Truths, Sharing Insights. I don’t know what my wound is. And, he has asked her to help him figure it out what does she think his wound is? She doesn’t know either. Tears sprang to my eyes and I said, Chad, that is the nicest thing you have ever said to me about your dad. You need to tell him that. He needs to hear that from you. Or, some other appropriate time? Forgive him for that and respect him for the rest of it. I am proud of Chad proud that he has thought about this deeply enough to fig...

Discovering Truths, Sharing Insights. 8220;You Can Never Have Enough” is a Lie. 8220;True contentment is a real, even an active, virtue – not only affirmative but creative. It is the power of getting out of any situation all there is in it.” G. K. Chesterton. I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
