Happenings at Sage Marine. Boat building and other projects at Sage Marine. In Victoria, BC. The first leg to Race to Alaska is now in the books. The start was delayed by high winds by 1/2-hour. At 5:30am the adventure began for 58 boats. The Washington coast about 15 or so miles into the race. The sun is trying to break through the clouds. By noon about 1/2 the fleet had completed the course from Port Townsend to Victoria. Thirteen boats dropped from the race, with one cabsize. No injuries. I share more...
