The Outdoor and Wilderness Learning Foundation is designed to develop and offer programs that provide outdoor and wilderness experiential education and promote environmental stewardship to a non-traditional clientele. We specifically focus on economically, culturally, and ethnically diverse populations. Included in our program design are intra- and interpersonal skill-building, teamwork, and growth of self-confidence. Funding for OWL Foundation, will be through grants, gifts, and donations. Severin Piper was born and raised in Portland Oregon, where he became passionate about outdoor education during high school. After volunteering and working as a counselor for numerous environmental education programs, Severin chose to pursue a career in the field. His work in outdoor learning began in 2005. His experience as an instructor in outdoor and environmental education, includes teaching classes for students ranging from elementary school ages to college level courses. Ron Borkan, Treasurer.
