Project purpose: to create a wetland to treat warm effluent from TCCA treatment facility and monitor TCCA wetland for temperature, bacteria, vegetation change, and water quality. Bull; Plant Communities – greenline. Baseline data collected by Windward. THS begins collecting water quality data. 6th grade forestry field trip. Experimental forest planned by 6th-12th grades (1500 acres). 100m X 100m grid established to analyze efficient processing to wetland. Water quality testing continued.
Netarts Bay - Tillamook Science
Over the last ten years the number of recreational users has increased exponentially. Intense clamming pressure in the public dig areas along the road connecting the city of Netarts with Cape Lookout is raising concern regarding the sustainability of clam populations in the area. According to the Oregon State Police Game Enforcement Division, it is common for many “recreational clammers” to harvest far more clams than allowed by a shellfish license during any low tide event in Netarts Bay.
