Reflections on life and faith. January 5, 2017. Benjamin Franklin used to carry a list of virtues with him, and each day when he attained one of those virtues, he would place a check on the list. At some point he checked off every virtue except one: humility. His contention was as soon as he felt he was being humble, then he was no longer being humble. Don’t use these: arrogance, selfishness, jerky jerk-face. Those won’t get you very far. What words would you add? Christians and Freedom of Speech →.

It would not have been so bad, except it happened on the morning of a day when I had to be in the car for 2 hours to sit in a conference for 6 hours, only to drive back for 2 hours to sit in another meeting for 3 hours.
