For Love and Tea. Saturday, 25 May 2013. An Argument Against Rawls' Political Liberalism. It's boring as shit. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm a student, a socialist or anarchist or something and a human being. A student insofar as philosophy is a subject, a socialist insofar as inequality is detrimental, and a human being insofar as any freak is. View my complete profile. For Love and Tea: The definition of knowledge, with regard to certainty.
http://forloveandtea.blogspot.com/2012/04/definition-of-knowledge-with-regard-to.html
For Love and Tea. Saturday, 21 April 2012. The definition of knowledge, with regard to certainty. I have a friend who says that we should call knowledge only things which are true, and which we can be certain about. So when I look at my cup and see that it's red, I don't. He says that when we say 'we know that my cup is red', we are redefining knowledge to mean something else, something lesser than real, certain knowledge. We are misusing the word 'know'. What else might this new term 'shmowledge' change?

For Love and Tea: Remembering my arrest
http://forloveandtea.blogspot.com/2012/07/remembering-my-arrest.html
For Love and Tea. Friday, 20 July 2012. The most degrading event in my life occurred at the hands of the state. Now, That doesn't devalue the service it has done me in giving me a good education, and healthcare, free at the point of service and aiming to provide what I. Likewise, however, that the state has given me these things does not excuse what it did to me. I've written before about the occupation of Fortnum and Mason's here. They're probably just too busy to get to me, so it's fine.'. And when Her...

For Love and Tea: December 2011
http://forloveandtea.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
For Love and Tea. Thursday, 8 December 2011. I've had enough of the bloody tories. The fantastic and wonderful Occupy protesters. Have recently been called domestic terrorists by City of London police in a letter to city companies. The pretence of accountability by protest that the establishment had previously erected no longer stands. Now, lines are being drawn; two sides are forming. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). For Love and Tea: April 2012
http://forloveandtea.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
For Love and Tea. Sunday, 22 April 2012. Why there must be another type of value than use-value. I hope that wasn't too dense. I'll just summarise what I've said so far:. There can be no intrinsic value. Instrumental value exists, and means valuing things because they help to achieve an end. This view is justified by the enlightenment's insistence that value must be strictly human. Value, which is commonly taken to mean 'value in terms of human ends'. Is the end valuable? It is not instrumentally valuabl...

For Love and Tea: Pics from the Demo!!!
http://forloveandtea.blogspot.com/2012/10/pics-from-demo.html
For Love and Tea. Sunday, 21 October 2012. Pics from the Demo! So I went to the TUC march on 20/10/12. It was a bunch of fun. Here are some photos:. There was a lady on a special anti-cuts bus, which is pretty cool. The march coming up to Hyde Park. I felt very weird about the Mirror balloons that were all over the place. Then some riot vans showed up. Then everyone rushed at Adidas, presumably because of how they treat their workers in places like Indonesia. Boots shut. Lol. Here some police vans arrive...

For Love and Tea: November 2011
http://forloveandtea.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
For Love and Tea. Tuesday, 22 November 2011. Occupy Cardiff- what's the point? Our location, though, is still good because we are successful in creating space in which to object to the misuse of economic power. That’s all I have to say about that, for now. Follow Occupy Cardiff on twitter. Http:/ www.occupycardiff.co.nr/. The statement of occupy LSX, which we have voted to accept as our own. Thursday, 17 November 2011. Guilty- of being an awesome protester. March is selective to the point of being ridicu...

Angel’s Got a New Bassist | Uroica's Blog

After the Fall →. January 27, 2011 · 3:31 pm. Angel’s Got a New Bassist. As a rule, I don’t cry over celebrity deaths. Well, Ian Curtis perhaps, but I was very young, depressed and I think more than a little affected by John Peel’s understated, heartfelt radio announcement. Now I’m older and less depressed, but hearing about Mick Karn’s death from cancer on 4. January really upset me. If life didn’t turn out quite as originally envisaged, it’s still had plenty of sparkle underscored by the never-ending s...
