The Bothy plays host to a variety of events, workshops and classes, read on to find out whats coming up. Folk at the Salmon Bothy Present The 7thl Haal. Bothy Folk weekend is 3rd -5th June 2016. Access for People with Disabilities. The Salmon Bothy is a fine example of a combined Icehouse, bothy sleeping quarters and net loft. Built in the 1830’s, it of historical significance and hence is Category B listed. For this reason, access to some areas for people with disabilities may be limited. James was serving with the 2nd Battalion Durham Light Infantry when he lost his life at the age of 41. He left behind a widow, Matilda Leslie, who was living at 38, Bedford St, Edinburgh.
