Things need not have happened to be true. Blount Co. Public Library. My Apple Tree: Wenso. December 29th, 2008. After the holiday: An xmas post-mortem. Ah, Christmas. I love Christmas. I am not one of those people who gripe about the crowds, nor am I one of those people who spends a lot of time searching for random, thoughtful-seeming presents for coworkers and distant relatives. We're not exactly living. Little House in the Big Woods. Here (per last year's rumination. That there were four kids all there...

http://tvuuc-preschool.livejournal.com/803.html
Today we were happy to see some new faces and some familiar ones, as well! We had about six participants in class, and another day of fun at TVUUC. Jennifer taught, and Rob assisted. Theme: "I have Two Hands". Activities: Trying on gloves and mittens, rolling and catching a ball, giving "high fives" and other "hand" activities. The kids came up with all sorts of things we can do with our hands and fingers, such as waving, playing with toys, holding hands, etc. Song: "Where is Thumbkin? Post a new comment.

Things need not have happened to be true. Blount Co. Public Library. My Apple Tree: Wenso. December 19th, 2008. The worst Christmas song ever? It's got to be The Christmas Shoes, right? C'mon You can complain about your novelty annoyances, and they wear pretty thin, but they're also pretty easily dismissed. For starters, what little boy has the faintest idea what size shoe his mom wears? That's right - I said movie. Calls it a little song with a big message. Um? That dying women need footwear, too? Spiritual Lessons from Play dough: tvuuc_preschool
http://tvuuc-preschool.livejournal.com/1027.html
Spiritual Lessons from Play dough. So I'm making play dough tonight for sunday school tomorrow. What's the spiritual lesson, you ask? Learning to trust the process. 3 tbsp. cream of tartar. 3 tbsp. oil. You heat it on low (I used 3 on our stove, so medium-low) for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Faith in the process. Faith in the process. We'll try it their way before going online to get another recipe. It really was an act of will not to try to "fix" things. Thus endeth the lesson. Post a new comment.

And a happy new year! Blount Co. Public Library. My Apple Tree: Wenso. And a happy new year! I actually really love the post-holiday afterglow, what many people find the most depressing. We have taken to spending at least a few days, starting Christmas afternoon, at my mother-in-law's house, and she is good company and an attentive hostess and a wonderful cook (with culinary help from the sumptuous. That's a lot of robots. Read her students the Christmas section from. Little House in the Big Woods. Where...

Things need not have happened to be true. Blount Co. Public Library. My Apple Tree: Wenso. January 24th, 2012. There was a time in my life when I awaited the announcement of the Oscar nominations the way some people await the NFL draft. (There was also a time in my life when I weighed in at 130 lbs., bought things just because they caught my eye, and sang Janis Joplin songs at parties. Things change.). And for what may be the first time ever, I havent seen any of the Best Picture nominees: Not even ONE!
