I guess I'm just not very sentimental when it comes to that kind of thing, as evidenced by my mother's gasps and cries of betrayal on behalf of my son as she systematically held up and shed a tear for each piece of clothing. My husband and I joke that we should have saved the kid's first messy diaper in order to present my mom with a commemorative turd.
