Travel from Munich airport. Numerous airlines fly into Munich International Airport. Eg Easyjet, Aer Lingus, Lufthansa. Car hire is available to pre-book from a host of companies based at the airport. We have used Sixt and Hertz previously and recommend that you book as early as possible to get a great deal. The drive from the airport to Mayrhofen will take approx 2 hours. You can book your train journey in advance on http:/ www.bahn.de. Children under the age of 15 travel free on the Zillertalbahn.

What to see and do in Tirol. We've made a list of some of the favourite things we like to do when visiting Tirol, if you plan to stay a few days, here are just a few of the things you can see and do. Mayrhofen is a town in the Zillertal valley. It is nested beteen two mountains, the Penken and the Ahorn, both accessible by cable car and both offering a variety of walks from a flat stroll to a serious hike! There is a bird of prey centre Adlerbühne. There is also a waterpark, swimming pool and minigolf.

Immediately the website and stunning photographs had us enthralled, excited and eager to visit, which we did in July 2012. May started with a visit from my parents, then a new nephew, and McKinley's dedication on Mother's Day! Then it went on to no outlooks in my current district for a job for me for next year (which required lots of faith for provision! Sooo proud of him, he's going to be a school psychologist and is in a 3 year full time program! It's been busy to say the least!
