The Music Teachers National Association sponsors student competitions in both composition and performance. These competitions are intended to encourage students and to recognize the work of their teachers. The MTNA Student Composition Competition is open to students from elementary through college levels. The MTNA Junior (ages 11-14), Senior (ages 15-18), Young Artist (ages 19-26), and Chamber Music (average age 18-26) Performance Competions include all instruments and voice.
