Bookbinder, Voice Coach, Musical Director, Granddad. Wednesday, 30 January 2013. I attended a seminar on local fundraising this afternoon at the Milton Keynes Community Foundation and found that the newish local giving system they promote means a small non-charitable group can raise funds through the site and receive Gift Aid, when this is not possible otherwise. It strikes me that MK Community Cardiac Group could benefit a lot from it. More later when I know more. MK Community Cardiac Group.

TaggingAround: Why Getting Old Can Be A Pain
http://taggingaround.blogspot.com/2012/05/why-getting-old-can-be-pain.html
Bookbinder, Voice Coach, Musical Director, Granddad. Wednesday, 16 May 2012. Why Getting Old Can Be A Pain. Since last week, I have been to hospital three times. Last Tuesday I woke with a pain in the centre my chest. It didn't go away and I decided to go to A&E as it is impossible to know, in these cases, whether it is an heart attack or indigestion. I had all the tests and it wasn't my heart but probably bad indigestion caused by acid reflux. So in one week I have spent 17 hours in A&E all just in case!

TaggingAround: A Great Evening
http://taggingaround.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-great-evening.html
Bookbinder, Voice Coach, Musical Director, Granddad. Tuesday, 28 January 2014. Yesterday evening, MK Acapella was coached by Sally McLean. I first met Sally when she was singing with Downtown Express, at a BABS Northern Prelims, and they kindly agreed to sing on our show the following February. We decided it was about 1992 or 1993. Sally is now a full-time coach and she came for the first of three visits this year. I believe all the guys had a great time and she made a considerable difference to our sound.
