Dawn of IYA2009: Measuring the shadow, from South Africa
http://dawn-iya2009.blogspot.com/2009/01/shadow-from-south-africa.html
Thursday, 22 January 2009. Measuring the shadow, from South Africa. Who says science and religion don't mix? Here is a report from Dr. Abdurrazak Ebrahim, from Cape Town:. 22 January 2009 at 14:41. Like I told Dr. Ebrahim by e-mail, I totally disagree with the statement "smal turnout - around 22 persons". The point of this activity (and the IYA2009) is that no turnout is too small. That's what we're all about. Even if we affect one person, it's worth it. Note: only a member of this blog may post a comment.

Monday, 26 January 2009. Canada "Dawn" for one. Kim Hay, from the Solar Section of the Association of Lunar and Planetary Observers (ALPO), went on her own to try and find the Sun. She had this to say:. January 1, 2009. Cloud cover less than 10%. I haven't quite perfected the imaging aspect yet of the sun, and I have issues with the central obstruction in the SCT(.).". Anyway, since she couldn't send us an image of the Sun, so she sent a photo of her setup instead:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
