Sussex Deaf Association 2016. Sussex Deaf Association was founded in 1912 to provide spiritual and social welfare for deaf people in Sussex by the Diocese of Chichester. In 1995, SDA became an independent organisation in its own right although The Lord Bishop of Chichester remains our President.
