The Knitting Process

Knitting and spinning with lots of process but not much product. Tuesday, April 08, 2008. Posting here will continue to be intermittent at best. Blogging just isn't a priority right now, and our home computer is mostly being used by my husband for work purposes. But I am reading a lot of blogs, and keeping up (somewhat) with Ravelry. Although picture posting there has been minimal lately too. I hope they like it! Posted by Emily @ 10:54 PM. Monday, September 10, 2007. I finished (and gifted) my Celtic Ba...

The Knitting Process: August 2005

http://theknittingprocess.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html

Knitting and spinning with lots of process but not much product. Tuesday, August 30, 2005. I finished the second of the Bridesmaids' Shawls. There is no need to post a picture. It is identical to the first one. When I have the second one all blocked and dry, I'll post a picture of them together just so you know that there really are two of them. I had some lighting problems with the photos. These red shawls are hard to take pictures of! Posted by Emily @ 5:30 PM. Thursday, August 25, 2005. In knitting ne...

The Knitting Process: New Sweaters!

http://theknittingprocess.blogspot.com/2007/04/new-sweaters.html

Knitting and spinning with lots of process but not much product. Saturday, April 14, 2007. I finally have pictures of my Hand-to-Hand Aran and my red sweater! Here's the Hand-to-Hand Aran:. And here's the red sweater:. I think these might be the first two sweaters I have knit since starting this blog. I tend to knit sweaters in pairs, and I often finish a pair of sweaters in the early spring. I'm not quite sure what that means, but there you have it. 3 I added waist shaping. Knit with Jaeger Merino and s...

The Knitting Process: I Got My Socks!

http://theknittingprocess.blogspot.com/2007/08/i-got-my-socks.html

Knitting and spinning with lots of process but not much product. Friday, August 17, 2007. I Got My Socks! I had a great Sockapalooza pal. She is Amy. I told her that I was going on vacation right after the send-out date, so she didn't need to rush to get my socks done. So what did she do? She sent them out a day early. She had them packaged nicely, and all wrapped up with a tag, a card, and some extra yarn. You did a great job! Posted by Emily @ 9:03 PM. Look at how fantastic those look on your feet!

The Knitting Process: Celtic Baby Blanket

http://theknittingprocess.blogspot.com/2007/09/celtic-baby-blanket.html

Knitting and spinning with lots of process but not much product. Monday, September 10, 2007. I finished (and gifted) my Celtic Baby Blanket back in July, but I never posted the finished product. To refresh your memory, it's a totally reversible baby blanket that I made out of Knitpicks Swish Superwash in color Dublin. Here it is! I worked the blanket out from the center in a seed stitch-like pattern, then added the border to the live stitches. It looks great on my rocking chair too! Wow, is that pretty!

In a couple of weeks, Alexis turned this rather funny looking tube (love the decreases tho! Into this super cute little elephant! It's Dr. Who (the ...

The Knitting Princess

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. SAHM obsessed with yarn, beads and avoiding housework. View my complete profile. Monday, June 27, 2011. I have been AWOL for a few months, I know. Sorry if you were waiting breathlessly for my riveting posts. My SIL asked some questions about blocking and I just finished knitting the Echo Flower Shawl. By Jenny Johnsen with Knit Picks Shimmer Hand Dyed Lace Yarn. First, here is a picture of the shawl just off the needles. Then I roll it all up. Then it's time to pi...

The Virtual Princess and the Pea. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Inspiration with Sailor Rose, Liberty Lawn and McCalls 6959. Photo belongs to Sailor Rose. I haven't been around for ages; there just doesn't seem to have been enough time in the days for sewing as well as everything else, so I haven't sewn for ages, hence the blogging absence. Exercising regularly and walking my doggie twice a day (long walks) seems to have filled in the sewing gaps. However. The time (same with exercise! Only thing is, to make...

Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Back with a Vengance. So perhaps you may have noticed a longer-than-usual break here at The Knitting Queen. No reason, really. Between my new job at the bank and trying to manage all the people in this 5 acres of craziness, time has somehow slipped by. After a bit, Benita and her family arrived. These are people I had never met and they had never been to our home. At the moment we opened the door to them, I'm thinking. What is that horrid smell? They were carrying armloads of foo...
