Living the Dream: Running Supplies! Decision Time!
http://thedreamatsea.blogspot.com/2012/03/running-supplies-decision-time.html
Sunday, March 18, 2012. Since the last posting ,we have left Sasebo and come back. It was all right out of a Marine recruiting video, and truly awesome to watch. Its amazing how professional and lighting fast those guys move and take control. Almost made me go and sign up for the Marines and get in on the fun.almost. That lasted 3 days. The Marine did a practice run the first day taking us over and then launched a for real run on us the second day. Posted by Living the Dream. View my complete profile.

Living the Dream: Can't Stop, Won't Stop Gettin' It Done
http://thedreamatsea.blogspot.com/2012/03/cant-stop-wont-stop-gettin-it-done.html
Friday, March 30, 2012. Can't Stop, Won't Stop Gettin' It Done. I feel like the posts are starting to become repetive in their content and nature. I'll try to spice it up, but I make no gurantees for the fans. So we spent 2 days shuttling supplies to the Marines and a couple of Navy destroyers. After that we ran back into Sasebo for a couple of days to get more cargo and then headed back out, again on a South by Southwesterly course. Til next time,. Posted by Living the Dream. http://thedreamatsea.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 18, 2011. Wrapping Up and Catching Up. Whew- It has been a wild past two weeks. In some ways they have dragged on and in others it has flown by. This past week of training was probably the funnest week we'll have here.we got to shoot guns! Friday was the big day we've been waiting for since starting on Aug 29th.PAY DAY! Where did I go? The salesman really gave me the hook up, I was expecting to have to lay down another 400 or so. I'm already addicted to it. Only, we will be using soap b...

Wednesday, December 28, 2011. So much has happened since the last update (which seems like ages ago), I'm not sure where to start. so I'll just dive right in, forgive me for any randomness that might appear. I just had some cookies and feeling the sugar rush. ;). So I think thats about all I got for in the way of an update. I'll probably be underway to Korea for New Years, no big deal, just another day of work.and overtime! I'm loving the overtime here, it's treating me rather well. Thats all I got!

Living the Dream: Made plans? Fahghettabout it!
http://thedreamatsea.blogspot.com/2012/02/made-plans-fahghettabout-it.html
Tuesday, February 21, 2012. You have to re-route the entire ship? Its like going the distance from San Fransico to NYC and back for this periscope which measure about 20 feet long and 1.5 feet diameter. Oh well…a job’s a job. Though I’m not looking forward to dealing with that damn Japan traffic again so soon. I was just starting to get used to Guam! Posted by Living the Dream. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Living the Dream: November 2011
http://thedreamatsea.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 18, 2011. My time on the Apache is over, and hopefully my training time is another two weeks closer to being complete. What was supposed to be a week-long towing event with for the Navy SEALS wound up being just a really. Really really long one 24hr event due to high winds in the area we were going. The trip out went smooth and took about 5 hours or so. We move along at about 6-8kts while towing the Del Monte about 650 ft behind us. With a normal tow (like the one coming up in Ha...After...

Living the Dream: May 2012
http://thedreamatsea.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 25, 2012. Singapore, Japan Bound, and Overdue. We are now back underway at sea after our brief stop in Singapore. It seems like the entire past few months have been spent at sea. As semi-adventurous as that may sound, it’s basically me staring out a window for 8 hours day. Can’t believe I get paid what I get paid to look out a window. And the women here! Oh boy, I must have fallen in love at least 7 times and almost got married twice. Staying here any longer than we did would have been da...

Living the Dream: 15 Days 'til I'm Outta Here....maybe
http://thedreamatsea.blogspot.com/2012/04/15-days-til-im-outta-heremaybe.html
Wednesday, April 25, 2012. 15 Days 'til I'm Outta Here.maybe. It's been a while since my last post, so I'll recap as best I can without getting long winded. We have had a pretty busy last few weeks. We left Guam and headed West and South to the Phillipines. It took about 3 or 4 days to get to the Eastern side of the islands. One thing about the Phillipines is that the fisherman here are absolutely fearless.to the point of suicidal. They will come and stop dead in front of us at less than a mile j...When ...

Living the Dream: January 2012
http://thedreamatsea.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 29, 2012. Goodbye Korea, Hello Japan! Our time in Chinhae, Korea has come to an end, and most of the crew seems relieved. I think we are all getting antsy to get on the move again. Most of that was due to the lack of activities to do in port, it quickly led to restlesness. Thats about all I got for now. Time to get back to it and do some work! Posted by Living the Dream. Saturday, January 21, 2012. I still stand 8 straight hours of watch, and we still switch which watch we have every thre...
