Trees and woods will continue to provide a wide range of traditional resources, including timber, woodfuel and pulpwood. Woods also accomodate the widest range of wildlife of any UK eco-system. Trees have long been cultivated to provide fruits and nuts in orchards. These resources can occur of their own accord, especially some of the wildlife, but in the UK they mostly need active management of the woods to deliver them. TfT can advise on managing these traditional woodland practices.
