Shining The Truth: Discouragement
http://shiningtruth.blogspot.com/2012/10/discouragement.html
Bringing the Light of Christ to Everyday Life. Monday, October 15, 2012. First of all, I would like us to look at examples in the bible of people who were discouraged or who at least had a right to be discouraged. This helped me to keep the proper perspective of my issues. Of course the obvious one with the right to be discouraged would be Job. Why did I not die at birth, come out from the womb and expire? Why is light given to him who is in misery, and life to the bitter in soul,. I pour out my complain...

Bringing the Light of Christ to Everyday Life. Monday, October 15, 2012. Faith For The Journey. Trusting God, Abram's journey of faith. 2nd Sunday in Lent, Year A. The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you." Genesis 12:1 (NIV). When we do something for the very first time it can be a little bit scary. Do you remember your very first day at school? How do you think you might feel? You trust me, don't you? Father, sometimes w...

Bringing the Light of Christ to Everyday Life. Monday, October 15, 2012. And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,. Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,. But with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. 8220;And if you call on him as Father”. We are separated from G...

Bringing the Light of Christ to Everyday Life. Monday, October 15, 2012. I pray that today we will hear the truth, submit to and obey it so that we may be purified by it. Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;. In the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey. Bringing the Light of Christ to Everyday Life. Monday, October 15, 2012. If You Were Married To Him/Her, You Would Have Done The Exact Same Thing. This is another typical counseling statement that comes up frequently. I, of course, have no need to say such a thing because I am married to Cindy! As I did last time, I am going to take this statement and look at the heart or motive behind it and apply biblical principles to it so that it lines up with the word of God. 8220;It’s how I was brought up! Sounds ...

About Me Or God? Who Am I Really Singing Praise To? Such A Thing As Too God Centered? Posted by Christopher Cohen. On Tuesday, May 5, 2009. The first question of the day is when can we sing a song that is first person from God to us, without in some fashion deciding that we are God? Just the fact that he said it sparked his conscience to realize that the words he spoke were flawed if they were coming from him. Secondly, is it ever appropriate. For us to sing this manner of lyric, and why? And think of me.

About Me Or God?: July 2009
http://aboutmeorgod.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
About Me Or God? Who Am I Really Singing Praise To? On Tuesday, July 7, 2009. I received an email yesterday from therebelution.com. They had an interesting article about suffering and pain. At the end of the article they shared the lyrics to a Regina Spector song called "Laughing With" which was written for the "Prince Caspian" movie. I don't know much about Regina Spector or her music but it seemed appropriate to share this song on this blog. 8220;Laughing With” Lyrics:. No one laughs at God in a war.

About Me Or God? Who Am I Really Singing Praise To? The Adonai or My Adonai. On Monday, March 23, 2009. I started google-ing Hebrew lyrics for this blog. I know only a little hebrew. So i Google Adonai. I was shocked to see how many mainstream "christian" artist have songs titled "Adonai". Adonai means "master or Lord". Correct me if i am wrong. Lets all guess who Hillsong's Lord is:. I lift my voice. I lift my praise to You. I lift my hands. I lift my worship to You. And I love You more than I can say.
