Selling luxury knitting yarn and supplies to the discerning knitter. Sunday, 19 February 2012. My Dad is a great present buyer! When I was 18 he bought me a book on cross-stitching, I remember opening it and thinking "How old does he think I am? But I have to say it was the start of something quite amazing. That Christmas I started out doing very simple cross-stitches, it kept me occupied and my mind busy over a very difficult time in my life, my Mum had died in the October. 20 February 2012 at 07:59.

Tangled Yarn: Echo Flower Shawl
http://tangled-yarn.blogspot.com/2012/05/echo-flower-shawl.html
Selling luxury knitting yarn and supplies to the discerning knitter. Thursday, 10 May 2012. I was very apprehensive when one of the Tangled Yarn Ravelry group members suggested we knit the Echo Flower Shawl as our Spring KAL. I haven't really knitted any lace before, all those yarn overs filled me with dread and then nupps! I'd never even heard of a nupp! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Susan B. Anderson. Tangled Yarn: Cocoon
http://tangled-yarn.blogspot.com/2012/02/cocoon.html
Selling luxury knitting yarn and supplies to the discerning knitter. Sunday, 26 February 2012. I have queued so many patterns on Ravelry, but never actually got around to casting on any! My New Years resolution though, is to start knitting through that queue and not add anything new unless I deleted something first or have knitted and finished a project. Back in December I spotted a lovely cowl and boy do I love cowls, so much more interesting than knitting a never ending scarf! Susan B. Anderson.

Fizz Knits: August 2007
http://fizzknits.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Here's what I've been knitting. Friday, August 24, 2007. How quick was that? After posting the other day about where I was on the Ravelry waiting list, I got my invite this morning! Have only had a quick look but have found out already it only supports photos from Flickr at the moment, though there are plans to include other photo sites I think. It's a wee bit of a pain as I tend to use photobucket. And you have to make sure your pictures are marked as public on Flickr or it can't load them up. 150g Meri...

Fizz Knits: Felt Daft
http://fizzknits.blogspot.com/2012/01/felt-daft.html
Here's what I've been knitting. Thursday, January 12, 2012. I don't have a picture of my felted bag today but I do have a picture of another felted project. Two years ago I took part in an International Yarn Swap on Ravelry and received a lovely package from Norway. My New Years Resolution is to finish off any WIPs before I start any new ones, so this was an easy one to finish off as no knitting was required. After sewing it looked like this. Hat looks brilliant.as does little missy. Do you mind if I knit.

Fizz Knits: Felting
http://fizzknits.blogspot.com/2012/01/felting.html
Here's what I've been knitting. Thursday, January 05, 2012. So here is my second attempt at posting this, after yesterdays disaster. I have always been intrigued by felting. The thought of putting hours of work into knitting something to then throw it in the washing machine and cross your fingers that it will work out terrified me at first. The finished effect, when successful, is very pretty though. I can't even tell you where it is now. So I finished it off, sewed it up and it looked like this -. Confe...

Fizz Knits: June 2007
http://fizzknits.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Here's what I've been knitting. Thursday, June 21, 2007. I have met the first target on my self-imposed stash diet! Way back in March I decided to not buy any more yarn until I lost two stone. Very quickly I re-assessed that target to one stone, to make it a bit more achievable. Thursday, June 14, 2007. I went along last weekend to a Knitting Lace course at Twist Fibre Craft Studio. There were only 3 of us doing the course which meant we were all able to get a good look at what our tutor was demonstratin...
