Stories from Porter: Why, Hellooo There...
http://www.storiesfromporter.com/2014/07/hellothere.html
July 3, 2014. Why, Hellooo There. Despite all evidence to the contrary, I am indeed still in possession of 10 working fingers. Why they haven't hit the keys in ions is a sadness to me. I've missed it, and seriously wondered if I'd ever type another, non-Instragram sentence again. Most likely it's a combination of distraction, mama duties, travel, traveling husband, and a distinct lack of creative confidence. There is truly no time like the present, so here I am! Welcome back Cassie, I have missed you!

Stories from Porter: He's Here!
http://www.storiesfromporter.com/2013/03/heshere_3.html
March 3, 2013. Theodore "Theo" Douglas Tasker -. Born Tuesday, February 26th, 2013. This little rascal entered the world 2 weeks early, deciding that he was well baked and needed to meet us. For those who like specifics - Theo weighed-in at. 7lbs, 14oz and was 21" long. A real rib-bruiser! Theo's arrival wasn't without a smidgen of drama - being that Nate was in Arizona the morning I went into labor and had 7 hours of unchangeable travel before he could get to Nashville. Stories from Porter: First Birthday Boy
http://www.storiesfromporter.com/2014/03/firstbirthday.html
March 5, 2014. Has turned 1. Numero Uno. A whole year of the calendar marked off for the little fella. Praise God for His goodness! Theo had quite the time of celebrating and soaking-up the year-old marker, with festivities and iChats spanning more than a few days - I think he thought this was how life was going to be from now on. Experienced parents I see you nodding and smiling at my naivety. I just couldn't help myself! We watch and talk and over-analyze this squishy boy more than we thought possible&...

Stories from Porter: December 2013
http://www.storiesfromporter.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
December 17, 2013. It's the season for sweet treats! Delectable baked goodies begin to appear in all sorts of places - shops, churches, hair salons - tis America after all! And I'm very much okay about it. I do like a seasonal treat or three. I stumbled upon this old-fashioned gem when needing a quick snack for Neighborhood Group. It's fast to throw together and made-up of things you most likely already have in the pantry. Win! Oh, and did I mention it's gluten-free? Here's what it takes. Drizzle with me...

Stories from Porter: It's Been A Month...
http://www.storiesfromporter.com/2013/03/1month.html
March 27, 2013. It's Been A Month. So far, so good! Four weeks into his new world adventure and Theo is settling into the groove. Mostly he's working on the usual baby skill set of "in one end, out the other", with some crying, sleeping and burping mixed throughout. I'm looking forward to posting a cousin/aunty/grannie blog next! He is absolutely beautiful. March 28, 2013 at 7:59 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Nate and Cassie, Nashville TN. Stories from Porter: June 2013
http://www.storiesfromporter.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
June 12, 2013. Honey, lets take a holiday beside the sea. Truth time: we are indecisive holiday planners. We 'um and ah' over when; where; how much to spend; how long to go for; should we drive, fly or paddle; will it be rainy or sunny; high season, low season, mosquito season? On and on and on. We talk ourselves in circles until we eventually decide it's just easier to stay home. Sure Travel for vacation? It was probably a teeny-tiny bit naive to take a 3 month old on a beach holiday. His precious l...

Stories from Porter: September 2013
http://www.storiesfromporter.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
September 8, 2013. There was a small but definite sense of dread as we sat down to begin the 14hr flight from Los Angeles to Sydney. The little baby chunk was embarking on his first long, up in the air, no way to escape, journey. As pleasant and {mostly} predictable as he may be, he has a rare talent for squealing like a banshee when the mood takes him. Say, if he's tired, hungry, dirty - these three things being the cornerstone of his baby activities. September 2, 2013. I realize it's quite unremarkable...

Stories from Porter: Threshold
http://www.storiesfromporter.com/2014/07/threshold.html
July 17, 2014. In the hill country of Texas sits a beautiful sculpture by artist Roger Feldman called Threshold. And it is truly one of my favorites. Planted on an open, small rise of wild grass and looking like it grew out of the ground all on its own, Threshold. Catches my breath every time it comes into view. The circular spaces are simply beautiful, with a big Texas sky for a roof and glowing walls of limestone. Une mini réplique des tours fabriqués par mon ancêtre Martello. July 20, 2016 at 10:48 AM.
