This recipe comes to you from my Grandmother. 3 oz unsweetened chocolate. 1 C light brown sugar. Combine and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thick and smooth. Keep it below the bubbling point the whole time. 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten. 1 tsp baking soda. Cream butter until soft. Add sugar gradually and cream well. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. And lined with wax or parchment paper.
